You know there are days you want to throttle your coworkers. Yesterday was the big one for me.
I am the lead office tech for my unit. I am the attendance keeper as well. Towards the end of the month I start e-mailing all the staff for their timesheets. There is one analyst that burns my butt every time. He always turns it in late and tries to pass it off to the supervisor without it coming through me first. He does this cause he tries to cheat on his time knowing that I keep an itinerary for weekly on time spent away from the office. Well, I saw him pass it off to the boss and I stood out of his sight and motioned to the boss that I had not seen it yet. He gave it right to me. I noticed he cheated and I circled the days gave it right back to him and let him know I need it revised. Oh he was not happy. He proceeded the following day (yesterday) to treat me like crap. I was all by myself doing the work of 4 people when he kept asking me if certain reports were done. I told him politely I am working on the order in which they came. At the end of the day I went to him with an overloaded arm full of envelopes ( I fold and stuff 4 envelopes for every case, 13 cases yesterday) I told him to let the consultants know that I was done and they were going to the mailroom. He said what about the ones you did this morning. I said they were in my bundled arms. He said the consultants are going to be mad when they find out that they didn't make the 3 Oclock deadline. I said I can only do what I can do. I left in tears, took the frieght elevator so no one could see me cry, and by the time I got out to my dh meeting me I sucked em up. Oh to top this off our database was down all morning, at least that is what I thought. I sat here from 8am to noon without a database. I then said I would love to get my work done if I have the database, he said oh it's up. I said with my teeth clenched, how long. He said Oh for quite sometime now. It is his job to do the unit IT and he did not follow through making me look bad. With the reports I have to pull the report and letter review for formatting and edit if necessary, get the boss to sign, enter corrective actions into database and other pertinent info, type address labels for 4 addresses per case, photocopy 6 sets each then fold them anywhere from 4 to umpteen pages long and stuff the envelopes and try to make the 3pm deadline. I was furious for what he put me through yesterday.
Glad to get this off my chest. I just wish I could stop eating over it.
Then to say my mortgage payment will be late I am $600 shy and cannot tell my dh without him blowing up. He doesn't understand when we don't have the money so I paid the bills anyway out of the mortgage so he wouldn't complain, now I am in the hole and fearing a notice from the Lender. I wish somehow I can get that money but no resources. I am screwed. He does not fight fair when he gets mad.
