Tuesday, Feb 27 2007 - Yesterday was good
View ROCKINCHICK's food & exercise for this day
I did pretty well yesterday with my calories and exercise. I still won't lose these extra 5 pounds I put on since January 31 by March 1. I had a real hard time in the middle of month with the extra bloating and PMS tension going on. I just couldn't stop eating at that time.
This week I bought some food items to keep at work so I can prepare my oatmeal at work and have a glass of milk and banana without having to remember to bring them from home. I just have to remember to stay away from the extras that other people bring.
I just now wish I had the money and energy to start fixing some of the broken things around here. A portion of our fence blew down last winter and we still have not fixed it. My hubby bless his heart does not know much about these things. When we decided to buy a home I told him that we are not very good fixer uppers and that staying in a rental would have been better, but he was stubborn so I went along with it. Now we pay alot in mortgage and escrow and never have extra money for anything. I get depressed about that alot. That may be one of my eating factors.
My oldest son's birthday in March 7. He will be 22. I know he doesn't want presents but what can I do for him. I end up always making him a meatloaf with mashed potatoes (he likes the instant kind). This is his favorite meal of mine. I will hopefully think of something.
Gotta run and get ready for work.

When I get frustrated in the afternoon and am tempted to oversnack, I am going to try and take Jack for a short walk or just pet him. You are so right. Love is the best thing that I can give him. I treasure your friendship.

The meal for your older son's birthday sounds great! Mmm. I agree that having a home is a lot of responsibility and expense. We aren't all that handy either. We have fixed our home up as well as we can. We paint and my husband has replaced a few light fixtures. I think that we are going to paint our countertops since that will be inexpensive. We can't put on new countertops or new laminate, but my husband and I can handle a paintbrush! We have had to put on a new roof and install a new furnace in the last two years. At least one day, we will own our homes and not have to pay rent. That will be great!

Scary when your kids get that old, isn't it??!! My daughter will turn 21 this coming April! And Money is ALWAYS appreciated when you're that age!
:smile1: Don't sweat the extra weight, it'll come off... just take a little longer than originally planned.

For my daughters birthday once, I gave this gift because money was tight. I wrote down on slips of paper...this note entitles you too......
:y:
I made up five notes and stapled them together to form a coupon book.
You can put whatever you want on them. Some ideas I had were...
help cleaning your apartment
a home cooked meal
etc.
