Tuesday, Nov 11 2008 - At my heaviest...
View ROCKMOM2's food & exercise for this day
This was taken at an amusement park in Arkansas - family visit. I grew up in North Little Rock AR and my parents still live in the same house where I moved to at 10 years old. They have lived there for 38 years.
I would like to be able to say this photo made a difference. I guess it did. By October 31 2007 I was down to 160.2 pounds. Not bad from over 200 lbs. The holidays in 2007 got me. I started eating and didnt stop again until I realized what I had done in March of 08. I have been using CK for many years, but never the online program (only desktop/palm). I lost a couple of pounds in March only to gain it back by June 08. In June I was back to 178.1
18.1 pounds gained since October 07. I was able to lose about 7 lbs on my own
doing what I have learned after years of yo-yo dieting.
Then in August 08 I made the decision to become active on the CK website. That is the decision I will consider a turning point in my life. I have met some incredible people (Virginia/Eme/Sheri/Bunny) that have encouraged me and I am glad to consider my online family.
TODAY--157.8 lbs. - in a healthy BMI and keeping the family cardiac issues at bay.
My journey is not over
oh no, it has only just begun, but what a wonderful journey with so many caring people cheering for my success! This will be my lifestyle change forever!
---tomorrow I will post a current photo, I can't get this to let me add 2 photos to 1 blog???

Thanks for sharing the photo Vicki! Isn't it funny, we tend to look younger when we lose weight! You are such an inspiration to so many people, I am so glad you decided to join in on the online community, you have touched many lives, while your own has been changed! I'm impressed that you even got one picture up, you are soooo much better at that than me!
:laugh5: I know who to come to with questions!
 Sandy
I'm glad to consider you one of my friends!

Thanks for sharing this Vicki....very fun to see the difference and to read about your journey.
:)
Isn't it amazing when something seems to "click" after years of trying to change?...not that it is all of a sudden easy or over with...but you have grown and figured out so much.
Take care...thanks for helping all of us out

You've come a long way, Vicki. Congratulations on the TODAY weight.
:inlove1: You can use a URL address and get more than one photo if you use Flickr or Photobucket or a service like that. That's how i get my photos on my blog. On Photobucket I just click under the photo and a little block pops up saying "copied" and I paste it into my blog.

Vicki, you are doing super! You mentioned that you have a ways to go, but, really, you've come so far already that those last pounds will be a piece of cake (oops....nix the cake part). As for the yo-yo, I don't think there's a person in the CK community that can't relate pretty well to that. You have lots of company and many people, including me, who are rooting for your success!

Gosh no! I couldn't give up cheese! Just going vegetarian, not vegan! I need to get some good sources of protein in with the type 1 diabetes diet I'm trying to stick to! As a matter of fact, I think I might need a cheese intervention someday!
