View SBCRABBY's food & exercise for this day
I didn't realize how bad I did yesterday. That is what happens when you go out to lunch at a Mexican Restaraunt, don't record until the end of the day, and don't exercise. I need to figure out what my best option would be when I don't have a choice about the restaraunt. I never know if it is better to go with the beans that might have lard in them or shrimp or chicken. Especially if I am trying to watch both fat and cholesterol. Any ideas? The good thing is that I made an appointment with at a sports' physical thereapy place to get my legs checked out to try to reduce their pain so I can get back to running. That will help my weight and size if I am exercising.
Today has been better, especially since the food diary has Panera restaraunts and those come up pretty healthy. I also got an hour's walk in. However, I didn't realize that a single egg has more cholesterol than I should eat in a day. Yikes! I had one whole egg and one egg white. Not too bad in the calories and fat but horrid in cholesterol. I have been trying to increase my protein and lower my carbs, but gotta stick to egg whites and other things. Well, now I know. A little worried about tonight's party. But I will eat dinner before and just try to remember I will have to record it later! Wish me luck.

Thanks CC! Great idea about the negative entries. Would have never thought of that.

Hi Stace - 1900 on a day you go out to eat is not horrible. That should be a neutral day (no loss no gain). So if you don't want to have to change what you eat when you go out, you can know that you'll do fine with one or two of these days a week. Otherwise, the tortillas would be good to get rid of and the sour cream. The diary will let you do negative amounts. So if you chose the fajitas but you didn't eat the sour cream, you can put -1 serving of sour cream in your diary and it will subtract the details for you. (I use this a lot when I eat something that normally has mayo factored into it and I skip the mayo). Hopefully that helps. You did really great yesterday. Keep it up!
