Health Status
Overall, I am feeling well, although I am a little frustrated that I haven't exercised like I should be. Getting back to the gym tomorrow will allow me to continue on with the C2K program. Hopefully I 'll be able to continue where I left off. I did an unofficial weigh-in yesterday morning and I was able to shed the two pounds that I gained over Christmas, so hopefully the remainder of this week I can work on getting another pound or two off. I've been eating fairly well; for the past few days I have been in my calorie range even after going to Olive Garden last night for dinner ... although I couldn't find the true calories for the Olive Garden Chicken Parmigiana dish. I used another one that was in the database which I hope was close enough. But, today I'm back to work and I did a good job of planning my day as it relates to eating. We are having chili for dinner tonight. Beans, beans are good for your heart ... :$

Miscellaneous Ramblings
New Kitchen Scale
One thing I must say is that I love the kitchen scale I got for Christmas. It has definitely made me more honest. I found out that the pizza I had been eating didn't weigh what the CK average slice was ... in fact is was quite a bit bigger ... about 5 oz. per slice :bigeyes3:. Of course I found this out after eating three slices :bang:. Anyway, the scale comes with a book with a bunch of different food listings (w/ codes). You lookup the food and then type the code into the scale. Then weight the food and you can press the various buttons that will allow you to see how many calories, fat grams, etc are in the food. It's pretty high-tech. It's made by Salter (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Salter-1400-Nutritional-Scale-Silver/dp/B0007MTN1I)

Spring Cleaning ... a little early
Most of my Holiday break was spent in our home office trying to clean out the clutter. I feel bad that I took so much time away from my family, but this is something that desperately needed to be done. I am almost finished. I just need to buy some organizing stuff for my canceled checks, magazines and pictures. It's shaping up rather nicely and I think it will be an enjoyable place to work, especially for the kids who like to use the computer for school work and fun.

Random Fact Sheet
-- I enjoy fishing. It's harder for me to find the time these days, but my father and I try to get out Flounder fishing at least once over the summer months.
-- I have hazel colored eyes. My wife and all three of my children have blue eyes, so there must be a recessive blue eye gene in my system somewhere :)
-- I took French when I was in High School. I don't remember much of it now though. I do remember how to count from 1 to 10 :)

I'm sorry you had to find out about the weight of your pizza being off. :look: I was using a single pizza crust and counting the calories or so I thought until I realized that I was counting only a 3rd of the calories! DOH! I didn't even think to check that a single serving was split up into 3rds for the calorie count! :laugh5: That was quite a while ago, I've wised up since then. =D

I just got a kitchen scale a couple months ago and I really love it too! And I always feel SO good after cleaning out a room! It's always time well spent! I'm such a magazine addict, I had to get myself into the habit of ripping out the articles I wanted to keep and pitching the magazine itself because I just dont have room for them all anymore!

What kind of scale is that? Mine is an easy one that only tells me weight, all allows me to zero it out. But one that would give me calorie counts as well? That would be nice.
