Psalms 127:3 Lo, children [are] an heritage of the LORD: [and] the fruit of the womb [is his] reward.

I believe the word of God. I really do.

Today is an especially painful day for me though because my oldest daughter and I are currently at odds with each other. She's a beautiful girl, but lately she's GETTING ON MY NERVES! Could it possibly be because she reminds me so much of myself at her age? Perhaps... :laugh5: Must make a mental note to self to remember God's law about reaping and sewing according to Galatians 6:7!

Don't get me wrong, I have 4 beautiful children. And children are indeed a blessing. Considering what C and I are going through, it's nothing compared to what could be.

For instance, I watched a mother take care of her daughter during a therapy session here. It amazed me to see the mother communicate with what once was a vibrant, full of life daughter that was headed off to college and had the world in the palm of her hands. But because of a decision to "have fun" the daughter is now reduced to a life that includes being wheelchair bound and constant drool. Not to mention the loss of the ability to speak, work or even carry out normal bodily functions.

This REALLY touched me because that mother and daughter communicate through a language all their own. And, though the mother is now a CONSTANT caregiver, she never lets the wear and tear show. At least not to me, anyway.

God has certainly given her a strength to endure because, though I know I could do it as long as He hangs on in there with me, I don't know that I'd just say "YES LORD!" But I would YET sing HIS praises because HE alone is worthy!

And suddenly the fruit of my womb doesn't seem to be so rotten after all. :heart1:
