Proverbs 18:22 [Whoso] findeth a wife findeth a good [thing], and obtaineth favour of the LORD.

While channel surfing, my husband came across some stupid show called "I Love New York 2" on VH1. I don't know who should be punished more. Me for increasing the ratings by watching it or the producers for wasting their time and talent on it. :bigeyes3: For those of you who aren't familar with the show, think ABC'S Batchelorette; only on a more vulgar level.

I watched and was saddened and disheartened, but then I became grateful. Here you had a young lady who was simply choosing men to be with by their looks or what fabulous gifts they could or could not give her. She made it clear that she was VERY serious and set her "bountiful blessings" out on a platter for observation. That was evident by the tops, or lack thereof, that she wore. To make matters worse, her mother was involved and seem to take relationships in general as a joke also. As a matter of fact, SHE chose one of her daughters rejects! :nono2:

As I CONTINUED watching though, I thought about how these men were desperate. At least one because he reduced himself to begging and pleading with her to stay on the show and continue forward in their journey for love.

Previously, I mentioned I was grateful. And I am. Grateful because I used to be like that, only there were no cameras to record the evidence. Somewhere though, there's a hard drive that has evidence through my online chat records and extensive emails... THANK GOD FOR DELIVERANCE!

One day I came to my senses and realized I made bad choices in men and God knew WHO and WHAT He had for me was SO much better for me. So while God was working on me, I asked Him to make me that "good thing" in HIS eyesight. And bless me with a better man than I'd had in my past. Better than I could ever think! Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us And I thought I knew what I wanted, but God knew what I needed.

So I'm blessed with a wonderful man who invests in me and treats me as the :queen: I am. I want to give him a good return on his investment and be the outward sign of the favour of the Lord. No, it's not cosmetic in any way, shape, form or fashion. He'd love me regardless. But, as I mentioned in a previous blog, I must be in health.

How else will I be able to pray my husband through and endure life's trials and tribulations as a good soldier? 2 Timothy 2:3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. Soldiers are trained and equipped to handle whatever comes their way.

They're also fit! Fit enough to fight! So I must fight the good fight of faith (1 Timothy 6:12) and CONTINUE to be that good thing that God has blessed my husband with and pray God's continued favour on our lives. :teeth1:
