Esther 5:14 Then said Zeresh his wife and all his friends unto him, Let a gallows be made of fifty cubits high, and to morrow speak thou unto the king that Mordecai may be hanged thereon: then go thou in merrily with the king unto the banquet. And the thing pleased Haman; and he caused the gallows to be made.
Esther 7:10 So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified.
Now, you'd have to know the story of Esther, which I've given a little bit of background on. I encourage you to read the book of Esther in its entirety, as it's a VERY encouraging story.
Today, I found it to be not only encouraging, but comforting as well.
Last week, I was VERY troubled at the fact that I had a Haman in my midst. One at work that caused me MUCH grief. My husband and co-worker admonished me to remember WHOSE I am and WHO, IN CHRIST, I am. But I do make mistakes. And I needed to revisit the story of Esther.
Today, while Eli and I were together, God reminded me of such. And in doing so, I was VERY comforted. I DID NOT feel like spending time with Eli and it was quite a struggle this morning, but I did, nonetheless. And I'm SO glad I did.
Because of this, just like Esther, I have the victory!
