OK: just challenged myself to 5,000 pushups in 2009. May be too little, but I'll recommit if it turns out to be too easy

Friends: Anne and Norman.... old old friends. Ann and I had a houseboat in 1972. Norman knew me in Africa in 1974. Anne's invited me to spend the summer in France with her in her primary house. She spends six months in northern France and six months on Vashon Island. Norman is still taking trips and chauffering foreigners around for the State Department.

They knew me when I was very very thin... 108 lbs. Here I am 171 pounds. They still accepted me. None of us looked that old. Norman is 63. He has 8 houses. And a house on the beach and in the mountains. He is such a mystery. No drama in his life, no problems.

Solved the late evening hunger with chicken broth. only 15 calories and it's enough to get me asleep.
