Wow, the scale said 173.2 this morning. That's a record for me. I know i gain a bit of weight over the day. But going in the right direction.

Well I braved the beginning of the snow in Seattle to get to the gym. The gym was closed!! Now how does this place qualify for 24-hr fitness? Better go look up the hours. Still within my daily calories so I will go with it.

PS: my gym closes at 7pm on Sat and Sun nights.

Logging food accurately is forcing me to choose better foods! It works. If I don't, I go over my limit. Also I am learning calories and fat for different foods. And slowly day by day I learn to make better choices.

A McDonalds cheesburger is 300, but the happy meal was almost 600 BECAUSE of the fries. Fries are bad. Even adding to this blog is a good habit which makes me more conscious about what I am doing.

One thing I'm not good at is planning in advance.

Tuesday was a good day

...because I was aware of how hungry I was, and ate only to take the edge off of impending hunger. I never let myself get really hungry... and I lost .4 lb. SO STAY AWARE OF HOW HUNGRY I AM AND EAT ONLY TO STAY CLOSE TO THE EDGE, NOT BECAUSE IT IS THERE. I even threw away half an expensive health food store roll to stay within my calories.

OK so my kids are not helping in the kitchen... and they are certainly old enough to help. So I decided to stop buying food until they start cleaning the kitchen. I know this sounds harsh, but they can trade 5-10 min. for food as in = will work for food. If they clean the kitchen that takes stress off of me so I can rest after a day of work and exercise and grocery shopping.
