I got very sick yesterday... and no wonder, I'm around hundreds of kids everyday. Friday I went to see the Lucy exhibit with Melinda's senior class. We got to stand just 10 inches from the actually 3.2 million year old bones. That was a thrill. It puts my little short life in perspective... all our little short lives. We also watched the Imax movie Mystery of the Nile. That also puts life in perspective. All in all it was a great day until I woke up very sick on Saturday. Great way to start the ...

don't blog when I'm not feeling successful

I just realized this: I don't blog when I am not feeling successful. Not that I'm failing but rather holding steady. And I probably won't make my easy goal this week to dip under the weight I'm stuck at: 167. Oh well. Everyone here at school is just holding on for Winter break which starts tomorrow afternoon.

So many icky chores I don't want to do like go to the dump, clean out the garage, wash the carpeting on the stairs.... and on and on. Much more fun to communicate with all the ck awesome weightloss peeps, my biggest losers.

My goal for this week: learn the calories of five more foods and dip under 167. I am not on track for that because after eating back my exercise calories yesterday... I went up two pounds. Now I know the biscuit probably caused a 2lb water gain. That is what I hear abo...

Getting the hang of goals

I am getting better at setting goals and creating new challenges for myself instead of just putting down something very general that doesn't really relate to my ck process. Here is a perfect example:

Goal: See the scale tip below 167 at least once before next Saturday.

This is a perfect goal because seeing that number once is a prelude to going down a pound. And, since I am choosing to go more slowly, it can take a while to lose that pound but it is encouraging to dip down, even bri...
