the real calories of food. Yikes. 1/2 cheese sandwich 350 calories, more than a McDonald's cheeseburger. I thought if I halved it, it would be a modest portion. No wonder a whole cheese sandwich was making me heavy. The mayonnaise is almost 1/3 of the calories.

SO NO MORE MAYONNAISE... it's not worth it. Not a good choice. Look for a good mayonnaise substitute.

Wow! I'm liking these lower numbers

I saw 172.8 for the first time in several years. Whoo hoo. I love CalorieKing.
It's a snow day in Seattle, but oddly enough there is no snow yet. It was promised and schools closed with the promise of a huge storm. It seems to have hit every BUT Seattle.

OUCH ! the gym scales gives me considerably higher numbers. 176.0 So what's the real score? Of course I was wearing more clothes but not 4 lbs of clothes.

No snow storm yet. Expect to go to work tomorrow.

Hit my lowest in years

Wow, the scale said 173.2 this morning. That's a record for me. I know i gain a bit of weight over the day. But going in the right direction.

Well I braved the beginning of the snow in Seattle to get to the gym. The gym was closed!! Now how does this place qualify for 24-hr fitness? Better go look up the hours. Still within my daily calories so I will go with it.

PS: my gym closes at 7pm on Sat and Sun nights.

Logging food accurately is forcing me to choose better foods! It works. If I don't, I go over my limit. Also I am learning calories and fat for different foods. And slowly day by day I learn to make better choices.

A McDonalds cheesburger is 300, but the happy meal was almost 600 BECAUSE of the fries. Fries are bad. Even adding to this blog is a good habit which makes me more conscious about what I am doing.

One thing I'm not good at is planning in advance.
