View SUNSHINEANGEL54961's food & exercise for this day
Does everyone stick to the reccomended calorie target and exerciase target that Calorie King gives you, or do any of you raise your exercise target and lower you calorie target? If there are some of both, could you each tell how yours has worked for you? I am contemplating whether I should stick to theirs (which is less exercise but more days a week and cutting down my calorie target daily. Please let me know as many of you as can.
Thanks!
Karla

I've pretty much stuck to the calorie target that they've given me. I have altered it a bit over time, according to where I was and the control I had over the food I ate. I had a job, where the cooking was done for us, and I had limited options of what I could eat so many of those days I couldn't help what I was doing. I'm with Bun201 though, do what's best for you. If the Calorie target they set is giving you trouble, in the sense that you aren't meeting it consistantly, then adjust it to a point where it is comfortable for you. The exercise allotment I find comes and goes. When I'm home I go to the gym frequently. I've had jobs that require a lot of walking, so I got all my exercise through that. However, with a current injury, I haven't been doing much, and the summer job I have, I don't think will really allow me to exercise much. We'll see though.

Thanks biggramma! Unfortunately my Monday night turned out pretty bad. I have been in a Christian online group gor 3-4 years now and really thought these ladies were my friends, then found out differently, quite suddenly last night. So it turned out to be a very hurtful night, but not letting that or anything else stop me or even slow me down with my weightloss program. I am in this for the long haul! It is hard while we are moving but things will get better, of that I am sure.
I hope you had a good Monday and that today will go well also for you! Thank you for the encouragement!
Thank you bun201 too, I am sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday, it was just such a rough day, but you were such a help to me also!!

Thanks I think I am going to keep my calorie target where it was at 1450 instead of what they are saying which is over 1600, I can't eat that much! As for the exercise I will cyt back on how many min I do and instead of pushing so hard 3 days a week, I will try do a little less but 5 days a week instead. We'll see how that goes.

You have to do what's comfortable for you, pushing yourself as much as you're comfortable doing. For some it could be getting off the couch, and for others it's doing a marathon! As far as the calories, I've always stuck to CK's recommendation until, when I was faithful and still I didn't lose, and then I lowered it. Again, it depends on whether you're losing. You don't want to make it so low that your body goes into starvation mode and starts breaking down muscle.
