This weekend I took the Grandbaby to a family party and I had to carry him down a flight of stairs into the family room but I did it! I used to be terrified that I would fall down steps myself because of the pain in my knees and not only did I not have to go down sideways but I carried h up and down several times during the party with confidence. I remember in January after my moms repass and then again on May for the Mother's Day gathering standing at the top of the steps, my stomach in knots...

We had a great time last night and ended up keeping my Grandson overnight. He woke up at 4:30am screaming cause he was wet but after I changed him he was having screaming fits like night terrors or maybe growing pains; he would stretch out, arch his back and scream but not actually wake up, so from 4:30 -7 am I didn't sleep. My daughter says he does this nightly, it was the first time We've ever experienced it and he has slept over before.

I did it!!! I finally broke 180 again! I was doing so well until the last three weeks of December and I caved to the calls of all the chocolates and cookies in the break room but now I'm doing better at walking away and it showed on the scale...178.9 this morning WOOT! WOOT! I know it also helped that I started practicing logging and weighing again it just helps me see what I'm doing, like recording transactions in a checkbook it's easy to overdraft if you don't account for every transaction. It's Friday and I'm so thankful! It's been a rough week for me at work and tomorrow I'm finally having the remote car starter my husband bought me for Christmas of 2013 installed...better late than never I guess.

I'm slowly getting back to focusing on me and my journey...baby steps then I'll be off and running again before I know it as I practice the good habits that helped me so far.

Yesterday I tracked calories and it helped me stay in check for the most part. I did really well all day then came home had a big glass of eggnog and then realized I didn't account for those calories, after recording them I did make a very sensible dinner choice but the damage was done...way too much sugar. I stayed in my calories but the the rest was a hot mess. I'm trying to do better today. I'm measuring so I can do better and get back to basics. More later...
