It's finally Friday. I have so much to do this weekend to get ready for our fishing trip. We leave in SEVEN days. Then, to throw a wrench into the whole thing, my son has Districts for Soccer starting on Thursday. AHHHHHH..... I am going to have to be on my toes and not get overwhelmed and make bad food choices. How Embarassing

So, I have to share this with others even though it is embarassing. It is just too funny not to share. I had done really well with my "twelve step program" that I designed yesterday so was feeling pretty good about myself. I was at Wal-Mart with the kids picking up their new bikes and thought "Hmmm, I wonder what resistance bands cost?" So I mosed down to the fitness isle to check them out. Do-Over Day

Wouldn't it be nice to have do-over option for those days when you are way way over? Like yesterday, I started out good. Walked on my lunch (1.2 miles). Picked up a chicken salad (which I thought would be a good choice). Went to a soccer game. Stopped at Hooters for dinner. Ordered a grilled chicken sandwich - no fries, etc. I knew I had 400 calories appriximately left for dinner. (after that darn chicken salad - I forgot about the mayo) So what do I do? Weigh in day

Well, I weighed in today. I only lost one pound. I guess that's not bad as it was a holiday week with lots and lots of temptations. Some of which made their way to my hips. I did up my exercise to help counter act those extra calories and am back on track as of yesterday. It's really hard to pass up those sweets though. I see the nutritionist a week from today. My goal is to be 290 or less. I have lost three pounds so far and am still 4 away from that goal. I have a lot of work cut out ...

Oh joy, it's Monday!

Why are Monday's so tough? It's hard to get out of bed and get motivated. It doesn't help that it follows a long weekend either. I took the kids swimming at the pool yesterday for over an hour. That was fun but swimming is a lot of work! On the bright side, it sure burns a lot of calories! I am so sore and tired today though.
