Thursday, Feb 14 2008 - Melt in Your Mouth Not In Your Hands...
View TLJOSEPH's food & exercise for this day
More like Melt in Your Mouth and coagulates in your thighs and upper arms!
I thought I had escaped with my early gift of an edible fruit arrangment from DH, but then I received the bags (note the plural usage) of personalized M&M's! It was a very sweet, pun intended, gesture. I measured out a serving yesterday in honor of Valentines' Day. I did that with a clear conscience. It wasn't until I went swimming last night and realized that I had calories to use. Soooo, instead of doing what is right, I did, of course what was wrong. I could have grabbed a yogurt or some peanut butter...instead, I helped myself to more M&M's. Stayed within my calories, but made bad food choices. My fat content is through the roof!
Run, run as fast as you can, I'll always catch you cause I'm the quesadilla man! Just one more ghoulish character I've encountered during my initiation into healthier living. I had quesadillas for lunch at a cafe I frequent. Boy, I really do need to look it up
BEFORE I eat. Mucho calories and fat! Gotta watch out for this guy in the future.
Overall, I feel I had an alright day. I'm beginning to take more note of the fat and carb levels I'm taking in. This will prompt me to make better choices and not base my intake soley on caloric value.
(Raising my bottle of deer park) Cheers!
Have a Blessed and joyous Valentine's Day!!

"No chastening seems to be joyful for the present...nevertheless, it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it." HEB 12:11

You are certainly not alone. We all make bad choices everyday. Maybe we need to search for just one day of wholesome food. I am reading a book about eating the Bible way. I am sure Jesus never had a twinky, so hang in there.
