View TLJOSEPH's food & exercise for this day
Today was a good day. I did slip in a piece of homemade pound cake (I'm my own worse enemy) and a small scoop of icecream. But I was still motivated to take a walk last night with DH. I'm finding that walking with him has done wonders for our communication. Amid the hustle and bustle of working and commuting (we both drive almost an hour - in seperate directions

) we just don't spend a lot of time together. Plus my MIL is living with us for a while

LOL. We've been trying to conceive for almost 5 years now, some of that was spent waiting for God to give him the desire for children. Most of the time, though, was spent dealing with monthly heartbreaks and the calamity of a miscarriage. We are definitely in prayer, together, over the issue and walking gives us time to talk to each other about what God has put on our hearts. It's amazing the confirmation we've been receiving.
So, it was a lovely, brisk evening to walk around our neighborhood and even venture into the neighborhood down the road a bit. We're night owls and always do our exercising at night, but walking is the best in the evening. It's so still and quiet. And the moon was full and bright last night as well, providing excellent illumination, especially on a near by lake. These nights I particularly love. In some ways, the earth is more vibrant in the evening, in the stillness. I can really hear see God's majesty in the stillness.
"And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind tore into the mountains and broke the rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and the after the wind and earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice." 1 Kings 19:11-12
Temptation was pretty low yesterday, but I missed a cup of water. I did however have crystal light with dinner. No, it wasn't water exactly, but it didn't have calories

Well, that sums up yesterday!
