I've been sufficiently motivated this week, although I was "coerced" into going to dinner the night before last. I still came within range of my calories, though my entire meal may not have been the best use of my calories. My official weigh-in was yesterday and I've now lost my first 10lbs. - making my February goal. I'm pretty excited, more so because I really feel good about the choices I'm making in my life. I need to strive in everything I do and I everything that I am to glorify the Lord. I really do feel as though He is with me on this journey. Jesus is my exercise coach, motivating me to get to the pool vs. watching t.v. or sitting at the 'puter. And the Holy Spirit, reminds me that my water bottle is empty so it's time for another. It's not a perfect relationship yet, as I do slip from time to time, but God catches me in His hands each time, and has not allowed me to become defeatist in my attitude toward weight loss. I have to say, this is the first time in my years of many diets, fads, and gimmicks, that I feel that what I'm doing is sustainable, and that's really because I'm trying very hard to give my life wholly to God. As buddies in my bible and body fitness thread commented, we have to stand on God's promises and believe on Him. We are very quick to say we trust in the Lord while simultaneously trying to find our own solutions to problems. Everytime I've done that, I have failed. My biggest challenges are met and hardest problems are solved when I truly enter that quiet place and meet with God.

I am taking a mini-vacation this weekend to the beach, so I will not be blogging. I'll be back on Tuesday.
