TLO's CalorieKing blog

Monday, Feb 4 2008 - Super Bad Sunday

View TLO's food & exercise for this day

from now on i will lock the doors, close the blinds, and pretend i'm on a deserted island on super bowl sunday. i had a bad day. not as bad as the patriots' day, but a bad day. football+people+table and counters covered with enormous amounts of food=foodapalooza.
the thing is, however, i isolated the behavior and woke up this morning and got started like any other good day. instead of going completely off the rails, i had a slight detour. a delicious, fattening, empty calorie detour. the truth is i don't feel bad about it at all. i've had a solid month of coming in under calories, i've lost 30 lbs in the last 30 days and i have no worries that i can start fresh as if nothing happened.
i have a new mindset. i won't allow this indescretion to ruin all the good i've done.
and i have to say, while not really caring about the outcome of the game, that 4th quarter was one of the most exciting quarters of football i've ever seen. a real nail biter.
have a nice day everybody!
keep up the good fight!

The only pressure I have found in this journey is the enormous load I place upon myself. It sounds like you are not doing that and that is a major plus. You are doing amazingly well. There will be ups and downs. Enjoy the ups when they are there b/c I have found the downs to be really sucky! Keep up the great work. Keep blogging! :y:

I think you'll find that most peoples (including mine) blogs look very similar to yours today... the key is MOVING ON, and not beating yourself up about it, which you are doing (and so am I!) I like to say LIFE HAPPENS. And hey, a 30 lb month, FANTABULOUS!

Tony: Good job getting up and getting right back to it! That is how to do it. None of us can be 100% on plan 100% of the time! :frog: :teeth3: Sounds like you enjoyed yourself!
