Sunday, Feb 24 2008 - Black coffee
View TODDSTANFIELD's food & exercise for this day
Decided on nothing in my coffee this morning. Trying to save some calories I use a Senseo (pod type) single-serving coffee "machine". I use to drink coffee black all the time, but some of the coffee I have been drinking lately is too "acidic" by itself. Creamer or honey seems to cut the acid a bit. I have had increased problems with stomach acid over the past couple of years. I either need to find a coffee that is smoother (less acidic), change my creamer/sweeteners, or give up coffee. I have tried green tea, but it seems even more acidic.
1:20 PM: Ate WAY TOO MUCH for lunch. Feel sluggish now. I need to get something to measure dry spaghetti with so I do not cook the whole box. Something like this:

but cheaper.
8:42 PM: I weigh in tomorrow.

Mm... hate to disagree, but honey is no better for you than cane sugar - It's the same high-octane fuel. You're right about creamer cutting the acid - dairy and other calcium rich foods are natural acid reducers. Perhaps you could enjoy a half cup of cottage cheese with your tea! *laugh* (mostly kidding)

Hi Todd. Same here. I love green tea but have been going through a phase where I want it sweetened just a bit
:smile1:. So I've been using honey which is good for you. Have a great day.
