View WEIGHTOGOCOACH's food & exercise for this day
Well, today's my birthday! I'm happy to say that I'm 39. I don't know if it's just because my birthday was coming near so I paid more attention to client's birthdays this week or if everyone I know truly was born the last week of March! However, one thing I have seen consistently is that with birthdays seems to come celebrations and weight gain. Why do we celebrate by giving ourselves (or others) gifts that are going to contribute to increased weight? I'm very fortunate that my family pretty much doesn't give me gifts that my former 400 lb self would have indulged in! My sweet neice a couple of years ago sent me a "birthday cake"... I opened up the box and it was a double layer cake made completely out of flowers. It was non-edible and looked just like a cake, complete with candles. That was so perfect (thank you Amy!).
My challenge to you is that when you are giving birthday gifts... quit giving gifts that broaden the waist line, increase blood sugar, contribute to high cholesterol, etc. It's really not nice to kill your friends, especially on their birthdays

Happy (belated) Birthday! Hope it was wonderful.
:) My daughter Cathy's birthday is the 30th and she turned 40. (I don't like to think about how old my children are getting!) And, big congratulations on your weight loss. AWESOME job.
 Wow, what an inspiration. You are my hero.
