Well, I'm back on the weight loss journey again. I've had four children and went over two hundred pounds with the last pregnancy. I lingered in the low 190s after my youngest daughter's delivery. I then used SlimFast and ephedrine supplements to get down to 145 and then just the supplements to get down to 135. With diet and exercise, darn ephedrine was banned, i made it to 122. I then finally stablized, with fluctuations around my period, at about 125. I was at my slimmest in California, but still didn't feel good about my body.

My husband got orders to a ship in Washington and so we moved. I gained about 5 pounds during the move and adjustment period, but I was also adding weight training into my exercise. I didn't freak out because I knew I was gaining muscle and boy were they showing.

I'm now at 155lbs again. On August 7th 2005, I quit smoking. This was a big deal because I basically started the quitting process because my husband felt I was hindering his quitting attempt. I have now been smoke free for over 100 days and off the patch for over 40 days. The massive weight gain came during this time frame. I'm trying to remind myself that I am healthier now that I was before. You know what....It doesn't really seem to help all that much. I do know I like myself better as a non-smoker than a smoker, but I don't like the weight gain.

I joined this site because I need to lose weight and I need to do it purely through diet and exercise. I also do not have any friends here who are interested in eating healthier and improving their bodies. I'm hoping that this site will help and I will accomplish my goal even with four kids and an active duty husband.
