Training Day #6

My workout for today is done. I did DVD #1 of the new Taebo Amped workout. My arms and abs are going to hurt tomorrow. I must say that it is definitely an upper body and core workout if you do the moves right.

Goal for today is to stay w/in net cals.

Well, I got my run in today. Yippee. so far so good on the cals today as well.
Short loop
3.50 miles
41:18 (11:48/mile)
I actually took 30 secs. off my time!

My legs are actually sore today! I am determined to do this, to get back into shape. I need to be honest about my food and maintain my exercise.

I've been wearing a pedometer lately. I'm borrowing it from the PE teacher at school. It's digital and appears to be pretty accurate. Anyways, I got 13,605 steps in...

Training Day 4

Monday, March 19th 2007

Except for a high fat intake, yesterday was a good food day. I stayed w/in net calories for the day.

Today's workout is done. 30 mins. of Taebo. I love Taebo, Billy Blanks keeps me moving and when I first started working out, Taebo is what I started with. It is a good aerobic workout without the owies on my knees.

So workout done, now I just have to stay w/in net calories for today.

Training Day #3

Sunday, March 18th 2007

Well, today I did get a run in. I did 4.50 miles in 55:21 (12:18/mile). I love my new shoes! My feet felt great and my knees are barely bothering me. It's amazing the difference a good pair of running shoes can make. Even with sticking to a strict 5:1 run/walk ratio, I took 20 seconds off my time.

I'm starting to focus on my food. So far today, I've done well. A little high on the fats, but still w/in net cals. That is going to be my focus for right now...net cals.

Training Day #2

Saturday, March 17th 2007

So no run today and I didn't log anything. This was a catch up as much as humanly possible while keeping my sanity kind of day. Betwwen stores we had lunch, Special K Meal Replacement bar for me, and MCDonald's for the kids.

Tomorrow is going to be a 4.5 mile run. I am committing to logging tomorrow, regardless of schedule. I did go to a running store today and got some new running shoes. I ended up buying shoes a size larger than what I normally wear. Hopefully these will help preven...
