Gonna Hurt

I am going to hurt tomorrow. I got a burr up my butt and decided to do an old Firm workout. Can you say...Owie? I am going to hurt tomorrow. I was shaky when I finished the workout and it's been a while since I've used weight. Feels good to know I worked that hard though.

Well my ten mile run was done today! Yippee, not fast at all but done. Now I have to keep my eating under control for a very good day.

Today was my long run day. I did 9 miles in 1:49:24 (12:09/mile). I made the mistake of not hydrating well yesterday and paid for it on my run today. I felt blah during my run, had a mild headache, and slowed down significantly in the end. Glad I'm not training for a specific time.

This amazes me. I know it makes sense, but still it amazes me. I ran 3.5 miles yesterday w/o my walk breaks and today I did the same run with 3 one minute walks breaks. Time difference 54 seconds. Not a huge difference, but still in that same time I walked 3 minutes. I really do run faster with the walk breaks inserted. I religiously use walk breaks on my long runs. It just doesn't seem to take that long when I'm only doing stuff for 5 minutes at a time. I'm not trying to get a specific ...

Another Day

Okay, today is just another day. I tried to get my workout in this morning, but about ten minutes into Tae-bo the hubby called! Talk about being on cloud nine. I don't get calls that often right now so when he calls, I stop everything to talk to him. I'm now officially behind on my schedule for today but he's worth it. I did get my workout in after I got home from work.
