So today's blog is about owning up...
I didn't gain 20-25 lbs in the last year by accident. While I will share some of the blame with injury and a change in priorities, I am still fully owning 90%.
Some bad habits I am noticing:
1) EXCUSES for not execising... I find myself coming up with excuses with myself for not exercising even when I have everything prepared to do it. My favourite excuse is my injuries and although yes I need to take it easy, it doesn't mean forgoing ALL types of exercise.
2) CONVINCING myself I "deserve" more food or bad foods... whether it's because I am celebrating or whether I have had something negative happen, there seems to always be a reason to eat and food is my reward.
3) EMOTIONAL EATING - I am close to calling this "binge eating" but I don't actually "binge" (at least not how I used to)... I often find myself standing in front of the fridge picking at whatever I can find when I am not hungry at all.
4) GETTING DOWN ON MYSELF - I have been giving myself a really hard time about the extra weight to the point that I am camera shy and will catch glimpses of myself in windows or mirrors and think negative things about myself. I need POSITIVE energy to get me through this!
So here I am, owning up and will reflect on these as I make plans this week to tackle these barriers I have built against my success.
