The last couple of weeks (really the last month) have been a whirlwind for me.
I have been really busy at work and my personal life has gone white water rafting while I am swimming down the river to catch up with the raft.
This is what I have going on:
- hosting a year-end party for my soccer league at the end of Sept with entertainment, etc and am creating most of the decor (e.g. wall hangings, centrepieces, etc)
- performing a salsa routine for a national dance convention the first weekend of Oct
- hosting a party this weekend for the three soccer teams I am on
- preparing for my ex-partner's visit in 2 weeks where we will be doing divorce stuff
- weekly commitments of 2 soccer teams, 1 evening class, and 2 salsa classes
- throw in there workouts and running and I am POOPED
But there are a few things I am proud of...
- I am getting a lot better at not drinking my calories... in the last month I have only been having a glass or two of wine on the weekends
- I beat my target of running my first 10k since March by Sept 16... I did it this week! It felt amazing.
- I have been attending a fitness class once a week for cardio/weights and was going to the pool (although now it's closed until next week) to get some cross-training and to still get exercise without so much strain on my knees and hips
- I have gotten a lot better at reducing my calorie intake and hitting my calorie target without feeling like it's a huge sacrifice
- Although not perfect, I have been doing a decent job at curbing my sweet tooth and keeping bad snacks out of the house
I have a few new goals I would like to work on and a few old ones to improve on:
- Run one 10k a week
- practice yoga and/or swim once per week
- continue with my smoothie for breakfast
- Continue to watch my calories from sweets and alcohol
I am really happy to finally see the scale moving in the right direction and am hoping to hit 175 next week! I cand do this!

You sure have a lot going on.... I feel your pain but with different issues on my end
