My name is Cynthia. I joined CalorieKing in April 2006. My highest weight was 270. I needed to make some changes in my life. So like most folks, I made a new year resolution to loose weight. I choose to do this with baby steps. First, I joined a gym on 1/4/06 and discovered my weight to be 270. I started to exercise 2-3 times a week. Then, in March, I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. Now I knew that I really needed to keep exercising and now I needed to learn how to eat, control my sugars, and keep my blood pressure low.
