LITA's Story
Update - I may have just overworked the muscles in my legs since they weren't used to that kind of activity. Previously I've avoided stairs then yesterday walked down 10 flights. Maybe I should have started with 5 flights? Climbing up was too much - I felt like I needed a code blue team to go with me. Then again, I huffed and puffed just walking down the hall back then. Going down stairs was too painful on my knees. Those poor joints were supporting a lot of weight without benefit of strong muscle to support them. Anyway, I'm 23 pounds lighter now and I've been walking so I figured it was okay. Today I walked down those same stairs and it was quite painful - it's even worse now! LOL Later walking in Walmart I felt a little wobbly so I used a cart until I had a chance to walk out some of the pain. Guess I'll take tomorrow off so those specific muscles have a chance to rest. I think walking might actually help though, so I'll still take my walk.
