OTTER's Story

Renewing Statement: Place of my own. But finding authentic self will take time. Slow process to regain CK skills. Mindful of healthy ways for BODY, HEART, MIND, SPIRIT. If I were looking for a metaphor, I might say this is my time in the desert.

Renewed Statement: Moving toward divorce, considering how to renew my life and find my authentic self. Looking forward to refresh my Calorie King skills once I am settled into a place of my own. Keeping me going: friendship, family, FAITH.

Another Statement: Peering towards 50, grieving for the loss of a sister, working through marital difficulties, the Calorie King community inspires me to keep trying. The Calorie is not my King right now, but I keep moving and working to apply the skills I've learned here. I believe in tomorrow, and I'm still letting Jesus light my path.

New Statement: Maybe I'm later 40s now. Not so tired after 35 pounds lighter, diagnosed with arthritis and learning to adjust, still in love with Jesus (how did a nice Jewish girl end up here?!). Still learning to rely on God and not emotional eating. Ready to take some risks to better my life.

Statement at Start: Mid-40s, former competitive powerlifter, tired grandma and wicked stepmother, seeks new life through Jesus, prayer, exericise & food.
