I get a lot of personal epiphanies (sp? sorry) while working out:


You can't "lose" weight. That word implies carelessness. You exile weight, abandon it, kill it, fight it off with focused commitment.You can't "lose" weight. That word implies carelessness.

I guess that's why I fight, everyday, to exile what I fought so hard to get rid of 4 years ago, always vigilent that it won't ever return. Never. Never again.

Never thought I'd be powerlifting at 40.

Just did 2 snatches at 90 pounds.

Believe me, that's good enough for me. I'm in no rush and I have no need to lift heavy everyday.

People are always surprised when I share that perspective with them.

The turtle has become my mascot, my symbol for perseverance.

I'm tired today. Don't feel like working out, yet i'll do something. I've been wanting to do a walk around the lake. Work has been stressful yet i've been managing my meals well. I've been on a veggie streak as of lately. I ate the best tasting sweet potato! Didn't add anything just had it by itself today for lunch. Ate outside. I haven't weighed myself in a while. I will do so on Saturday. Time to check in with the scale.

Thank you for the welcome backs! I appreciate them.

Today is the beggining of year 4 for me in being healthy!

I'm back because I have been maintaining for two whole years now and feel like I am ready to tackle a few more pounds. Honestly, I am not quite there yet. However, I feel that by joining CK again maybe it'll encourage me to do so.

Since rejoining CK I have begun by cutting back 50 calories every two weeks. Ha! No rush, right? I refuse to rush. I want to live life and be so...
