Back from holiday and down 2 lbs~

Well, I blew off logging my food and exercise for the week and came back to work to a nice surprise - I'm down 2 lbs! I guess I wan't too out of control.

Other good stuff going on:
- I got accepted into the "what have you got to lose?" competition at work, which includes diet, exercise AND group personal training sessions for free!
- I got my new fancy pedometer (the old one got run over at the dog park). It's even complete with a 7 day memory, programmable step measurement ...

Hooray for me! I stayed UNDER my total for the day. Chalk up 1 day of success!

Haven't had lunch yet today, but I was good for breakfast!

Good lord - another good reality check yesterday - 2800 calories! Granted, 1300 of it was that greasy BK breakfast (lesson learned), but still. I think I'm finally getting it! At least the choices I made for the rest of the day were relatively healthful (tuna steak, rice, etc), but the portions were still way too big. I did stand on the edge at one point and look at my overloaded dinner plate, but instead of packing away the extra for another meal, I packed it in my gut and felt guilty after...

reality check

Okay, I'm glad I've started logging food at long last. It's a great reality check on what I've been up to! I thought yesterday was a relatively moderate day but the calories did creep up. Logging this morning was good too, since I finally took a look at how bad those burger king breakfasts are. No more of those for me!! Gotta pick up some decent breakfast food asap, and will try for better eating for the rest of the day.

Hi - Today's my first day on calorieking, but it's another step in a LONG journey when it comes to diet and exercise. I've spent the past few months working through approval steps for gastric banding, but have treated the time as one long "last supper" and I'm ready to change this and get serious.
