Ingredients Convert to Imperial

  • 2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cup Splenda« *
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cup low-fat soy milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350║F.

In a bowl combine together the flour, sweetener, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Add soy milk, oil and vanilla, and mix together.

Place mixture in a 9 x 9 or 9 x 13-inch pan. Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until done (baked brownies will be a bit gooey, so do not dry them out by over-baking).

Variations:

* If desired, replace 1-1/2 cup Splenda« with equal amount of sugar. For a sweeter brownie, add 2 cups Splenda« or sugar.

Can add in chocolate chips (note: choc chips are not vegan) and/or chopped walnuts.

Tips:

If using a different pan for baking, adjust the baking time.
