Finally, I made it through some events that normally would have gotten me off stride. County Fair Week, which was my downfall last year, came and went without a hitch. I actually went to the fair, ate some "Carnival Food" and count it in my daily calorie intake! That is the key for me. Counting everything I consume. A fellow dieter once told me if you don't write it down, then you will make believe you did not eat it and be kidding yourself. It is so true to develop the discipline needed to keep going, you need to "write it down!"
I also got through the annual Family Reunion where there is a tremendous amount of food each year.
Here's to discipline and to writing it down!!

Yep! That is so true. I have gotten away from recording for a couple of months, and it's really hard to get back in the habit. I decided tonight to record everything I ate today and see what I had done. I was shocked! WAY over what I should be. I'm going to get back to it. For me, recording what I eat is the answer...it's all about calories and burning calories.
