I have been fat, chubby, chunky, plump, overweight, obese, large, thick, tubby and round my whole life. I was brought into the world like that and I guess you can say I have been incredibly successful at staying true to my roots! I was able to get to my lowest adult weight of 250 when I was 20 by eating right and excercising a lot. I promptly became pregnant and gained all of my weight back, plus some, during and after my pregnancy.

In 2004 I married a vegetarian. I thought it would be ea... Read more

4.5 years since I last posted anything here. It's been a lot longer than that since I last gave any thought to actually using the tools available on this site. Life and my career have been a whirlwind since hubby and I decided to have more kids (like 10 - 11 years ago!). Kid #2 has more than kept us on our toes pretty much since birth. She's been diagnosed by different care providers with (mostly in order of diagnosis) selective mutism, tourette's, autism spectrum disorder (aka Asperger's), a...

Guess it's been a few years since I've done much here besides be a creeper. My professional life has been all-consuming and I am finally getting out from under that madness. I wonder how many times in my life I have lost large amounts of weight? I'm thinking it is about 3 or 4 times, now...90+ pounds each time. Maybe 5 times? Truth be told, I find losing weight rather easy; when I have the time to focus/obsess about it. Keeping it off has been the elusive part. I've accepted this about myself and I am trying to find a way to work with it. Carefully planning and logging every morsel of food/drink that passes my lips and exercising 6 - 7 hours a week is a part-time jo...

Not sure how many times I have started to write something here over the past few months. I get started and then get distracted by something else or just can't follow through for whatever reason. I can't believe I will be coming up my one year anniversary with my job in a few weeks! AND, my little man is quickly approaching his first birthday!!! :bigeyes3: My, how time flies.

We closed on our house back in March and it has been an absolute whirlwind of activity in my life since...like it wasn't alrea...

This is the last time we are moving until we are too old to go up stairs any more. Moving is always difficult, but it is much harder with an infant, a toddler and a teenager that is, well, a teenager. :dead2:

The closing on the house went smoothly, I guess. The credit union couldn't get paperwork to the title company until 4:30 pm the day of closing. So, we couldn't get the keys until the next day. That sucked, but it is behind us and we are no worse for wear. We originally had planned to move on...
