View CELAWLOR's food & exercise for this day
Yesterday was another good calorie management day! I've been pondering these issues with my body, and combining that with internet research and physician opinions. Here is my conclusion: it's basically miserable PMS. And, I can see how getting on the pill will help, because the hormones won't fluctuate quite so much. But, the pills do make me sick and I do NOT like to take pills, in general. And, there is always the co-payment, too.
I've read that eating healthy and exercising is a treatment for PMS. I have, until relatively recently, lived a mostly healthful and active life. When these good-living habits gave way to party-girl habits, I started having girlie problems a few months later. 1 + 1 = 2, right? I didn't suffer from PMS before because, I am theorizing, I was treating myself well. It is a decent theory, and the treatment of resuming my healthful habits will be beneficial in lots of ways--if it fixes the problems, or not. I'm certainly tired of being "sick" all the time!
This weekend I plan on getting a full weeks worth of meals planned out and go restock the kitchen with the good stuff. There was never really any bad stuff there, but we ate out a lot because I was too tired to fool with cooking. My kiddo and I are going to cook together from now, on. He's old enough now and his foot is healing pretty well. I'm going to let him pick out a recipe from my "mom approved" recipe list and let him do it all himself one night a week. Probably over the weekend, when we have more time, and I can have a drink, first.

A little liquid patience never hurts when teaching your kids something new, right?!?!

That is a great idea about the recipe with your son. He is going to grow up into a really fine and self-sufficient guy. Yep exercise and healthy diet is the ticket. go for it girl.
