Not quite sure how I feel about yesterday.
I took the route of being lazy and just relaxing all day, and it didn't feel right. I know why too.
If you've been in a pattern for 8 or so months, it becomes a routine. It's what you are used to doing. When you take a day off from following that routine, you feel like you are missing something. I'm not saying that it's the first time I've sat around and done nothing since I got into my routine - but something was different about it yesterday.
I felt really lost and out of place. Like I was wasting the day away.
The old me would have loved every second of that.
The new me does not.
It's possible that it's finally dawning on me that everything I've worked for is coming full circle. I missed being active, I didn't like sitting around being a couch potato ALL DAY.
I needed yesterday. I have a renewed motivation continue my work out routine, continue eating healthy, and continue down the path I have started. I haven't felt like this in months, and it took a day of feeling blah to jump start me.
The whole day, I was just worried about my calories. I knew I wasn't burning my normal amount of calories simply because I was at the PC or on the couch all day. Usually I'm at least up and doing something, on top of working out. So I literally, starred at calorieking all day making sure I was ON POINT with my calories. I thought I was going to revert back to head hunger just because I was bored and not keeping myself busy. It would have been pretty easy for me to just slip into one of the cabinets and go nuts on the protein bars we have in there - just because they are there. But I didn't. CalorieKing kept me in check, even though I was unsatisfied.
I'm about to head to my Investment Group meeting at School. Than I'm going to come home, work out, eat, go back to school, than maybe take a walk afterwards, come home and eat.
I'm feeling good about today. I'd suggest everyone take a day to veg out and do nothing, see how you feel. If you've been in a routine for awhile, chances are you'll feel pretty similar to how I did.
