Oh so close...

So I finally weighed in and I was disappointed but not discouraged. I'm only down one pound from last week and a lousy 0.6 pounds away from the 20 pound mark. 20 pounds. 20% of the weight I need to lose. Close but no cigar. Still it gave me enough incentive to say no to the donuts they were passing around the office this morning - even after I got a whiff. I am the captain of my own ship. I choose to be in control rather than letting circumstances dictate my life's course. However, I acknowledge that I may have to adjust my course direction from time to time due to unforseen circumstances.

Will It be Tomorrow?

A few years ago I bought a T-shirt that I just loved. It arrived in the mail and was too small. The company didn't have it in a bigger size so I kept it. I would lose weight and be able to wear it - someday. Then I gained more weight and the T-Shirt went into a sealed bag with some other too small items. I unpacked it a week and a half ago. I was recently watching a recorded episode of the good doctor so I'm not exactly sure when it aired, but he was talking about the best time to do things. For instance, the best time to get up in the morning is 6:30, drink a glass of warm water and use the toilet at 6:35, then weigh yourself afterwards (I forget what time specifically, but it's after one urinates and has a bowel movement.) Feeling good

So I weighed in this morning and I'm down to 220.4. Hubs was unhappy about the .4 still hanging on, but I told him those are just stubborn ounces that will be gone before next weigh-in. I feel like I have cheerleaders everywhere. The hubs at home is a great help. He's started bringing my walking shoes when he picks me up from work so we can walk together before going home.
