I made a trip back to Kentucky about this time several years ago. We lived there from 1978 to 1983 and I got hooked on thoroughbred racing at a time when the money involved wasn't so obscene. Anyway, I made a stop at the Kentucky Horse Park and spent some time with John Henry. I also stopped at Three Chimneys Farm to see Seattle Slew on that trip. Two fine horses from another time, now gone.

More rain last night but I'm hoping it will be dry enough to get to the park later. Putzing around the house isn't improving my energy level although at least I'm sticking pretty close to my diet targets.
