A strange couple of weeks. I'm doing exactly the opposite of what I planned to be doing 'bout now. Instead of maintaining a level of physical activity and increasing calories, I've reduced my physical activity and maintained my weight-loss diet targets. Feeling out of sorts for about a week and then a week of wet weather has meant fewer trips to the park and no bike riding. I hauled my sorry self down to campus last night to attend a discussion on Slow Food and related issues. I went because Alice Waters was going to be there but, to my mind, she was eclipsed by Judy Wicks who I didn't know before last night. Wicks was wonderful and we will definitely stop at her White dog Cafe when we visit our nephew in Philly. And I ordered several copies of the cafe cookbook so I nailed down some holiday gifts too. Hat trick!
