Tuesday, Feb 3 2009 - Outsmarting Your Sandwich

It occurred to me this morning when making my sandwich that it wasn't going to stay together. I then thought that I should just turn the filling into a 'salad' and have the bread separate. The deconstructed sandwich. This way, I could also chop up the other veggies i have and put it into the same thing. It sure seemed like a lot more food that way, too.
It's funny how something so obvious after you think of it wasn't so just a few days ago.
I did weights last night, i'm kind of sore from it. My friend that did p90 and is currently doing p90x (Which is a lot more intense) recommended using this recovery drink called Endurox. I don't always use it because it's about 280 calories for a glass of it - but it really helps with the soreness. Given that I hadn't done weights in a week, I decided last night to drink some. I think it was probably good to do.
I think I'm going to try to do a day of week 2 of c25k to see where I'm at tonight, but it seems to be snowing outside. I don't know how much accumulation there is or will be, so I might not, as well. If not, I'll just go after work tomorrow - tomorrow's my work from home day.,

was the Endurox palatable? I always go for a big glass of non-fat chocolate milk (in the summer) and hot vanilla milk (in the winter) after long runs ... and I think my hubby and I are gonna go for P90x this summer. First I have to tackle this COLD

What a great idea about the sandwich~anything to make it look like more! I used to slice a banana on my cereal for breakfast. One morning, I decided to eat the cereal first and then eat the banana! I went from eating one item at breakfast to two items and it seems like so much more! Good luck with week 2 of c25k. I know what you mean about the snow~they are calling for it off & on here, today and tomorow. Really puts a damper on outside activities! Have a great day!
