View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day

Wow, real Sprite ! Today, all I can consume is liquids and some jello up until 2pm, then just water...after 6pm I have to drink this yucky stuff... Right now I get to drink the real stuff... real sugar Sprite in order to keep up my blood sugar. It's been years since I have had a real sugar drink. I guess it's the only fun part of this whole day. I am keeping track of how many jellos and sprites I drink on my log, and waters. This stuff can really add up in the calories! I have had to turn down my insulin pump and will have to turn it off completely at night so my bg doesn't fall too low when I have no food coming in at night. Fasting is really tricky when you are a diabetic on the pump or insulin for that matter. I am learning today what it means to keep your mind not focused on food. This will be a good lesson for me as a diabetic and dieter.
Last weekend I had the opportunity to make it to the Flagship Whole Foods in Austin.I always wanted to go to that particular store to see how different it is from the other Whole Foods. Well now I know what is so special about it. My Whole Foods is right up there with this one since it is a brand new one, but the Flagship one has the biggest and best sea food department I have ever seen in Texas. It made me want to drop and bow down to to it. If you're a veggie person you would like this WF store because they have a lot of pre-made stuff just for you. This store also has a good selection of coffees and teas that other Whole Foods do not. They also have a new Salt and Pepper display which I got a special smoked salt to put on my fish and to brine turkey with. We tried some of it on our Salmon latter that weekend and it was good. I have seen some of the smoked salt in my store, but this display had more of a selection in the smoked salts as in all kinds of peppers.
The store also had a wider selection of pastries for those in the coffee bar than my store. My store pretty much had everything that this store from there. Around the conner from the Flagship whole Foods was Austin's Farmer's Market. It was small but still fun to go to. We found a small chocolate vender that my husband found interesting. This guy sold what is called chocolate nibs. These are left over bits of chocolate from the makings of his chocolate product. They are unsweetened crunchy bits that taste really good. He sells them, but was unfortunately was out. This would have been perfect for someone like me who can't eat the sugar but can have the pure chocolate. He to;d me Whole Foods actually carries a similar product so I'm going to look for it. A tbs of chocolate nibs as they are called once in a while would be nice for a desert add on for this girl to look forward to when I have some extra cals to use up. I'll try to get the name of the product when I get my notes together. I wrote all this down and put it somewhere. Anywhere, I also got a white cucumber, they are milder than the green ones, some really good tasting peaches, and hubby got some okra. I didn't eat any okra since he fried it the next day. I enjoyed exercising my legs and watching all the dogs the people brought to the market. BUT, people, bring poop bags if you are going to bring your dogs to a public place !!!!! Gee, I will forgive, because I know we all sometimes forget to do this.:( Speaking of dogs, dog show season has begun on Animal Planet. This Saturday night is a good one.
My daughter is getting nervous now as she is finally having to do all of the things she was suppose to do for the wedding months ago. You can lead a horse to water , but you can't make him drink !! We tried to get her to do certain things months ago, but would she listen !! lOOKS LIKE SOON TO BE SON IN LAW IS THE SAME WAY. we are having trouble getting birth certificates and all other paper work put together that needs to be ready to get the marriage certificate together. They both knew we needed all of these pieces of information months ago.:(^%#&#&&&;)

Good luck tomorrow. Sounds like your daughter and FSIL are meant for each other. Try to remember this, all those things your freak about before a wedding are gone in a blink and if everything went smoothly, you'd have nothing to talk about and vividly remember throughout the years. My dog got out and ran ahead of me down the aisle. She sat right where I was suppose to stand next to my hubby. Without missing a beat he said, "Gee, I'm marrying a real dog!" No one remembers what my dress looked like but they sure remember the dog!

Good luck with your test. I experienced that once, and the prep is the most dfficult part. That Whole Foods sounds fabulous. We don't have one near me. I can see it's bringing out the chef in you. Your daughter's procrastination must be driving you nuts. Probably this is just a wedding anxiety reaction on her part and not a pattern. I hope, for her sake! You take it easy and get through the next couple of days so you can play with all that fun food you got at Whole Foods.
