Wednesday, Nov 12 2008 - Plataue Broken
View MOUGHI's food & exercise for this day
My plateau is finally broken ! I actually lost some weight this week and last. Now I will need to watch what I am eating and stop the extra munchies for this diet to get back on the roll. My dietitian told me that sometimes the body needs to go on to maintenance after being on a diet when you diet over 18 months to rest from calorie deprivation, thus the plateau. Well, I sure did that for four months an enjoyed I did. I finally got the mental rest and am now ready to tackle those last 12 - 15 pounds now. It was encouraging to realize I need a built now tighten up my pants. I need to get off as much weight as I can because in Jan. I will start the bunion surgeries and will not be able to exercise for about four to five months as it will take two months for each foot to heal. I was told I should be able to use an exercise bike after the first month, but we shall see if that would be prudent in my case. I can continue my upper body work and possible ab work during this time though, just nothing to do with my feet. That might be good since I hate any exercise to do with abs !
Short blog today as I have to go walk neighbors dog. Like I expected Xena has shown her disapproval of having another dog in the house. She has already growled and run for cover. A walk will do these girls some good. I need to get out while the weather holds up. It's a cool 67 here ! Talk to you latter.

Good for you for breaking through that plateau. I have been doing a lot of extra snacking, too. Unfortunately. I need my eating mojo back! My meals are sensible, its the "extras" that are killing me! As for the HRM, yes, I have one that is "coded" so that it is not supposed to interfere, but it definitely does when someone is close by. I also have a lot of trouble with 00 readings that throws off my calorie count. Unfortunately, I think it is a sign of a low battery and the unit needs to be returned to Polar for a replacement, which is a HASSLE! It is only supposed to happen every two years, but I think I have put mine through extra workouts so much that its tired!

Hope the dog walk went well. When Kaya and I walked this morning we came across 6 loose dogs! What a mess! Glad to hear your plateau has broken and you're back in the "losing" game!

Congratulations on the loss. The channel is the "on demand" channel, where you can order movies, etc., but they have a "free zone" where they have different stuff - one of which is health and within that category is exercise. I'm glad they approved your surgery. Riding the bike after a month is a great idea, Lory, to keep the circulation in your legs/feet/body good!
:y: I am a firm believer in the "use it or lose it" principle.
