Sick or not sick

Tuesday, November 13th 2007

So today about 10 or so I started feeling achey and feverish. Oh no...Hankreatitis. I sat and stared at my lunch and forced down a sweet potato. I shivered and then sweated. I decided that hell or high water, I had to finish the RAM lecture, so I did.

By 1:30 I was feeling better. Kids left. After school I decided to get dressed to run, and if I got out and felt even slightly "ick" I'd just hop in the car and go home, canceling my swim date with Lisa tonight.

Well lo and beh...

It's a chilly rainy Monday

Monday, November 12th 2007

It sure feels like Fall here today! Windstorms woke me up all night last night. I love windstorms, although the waving of the trees in the neighbor's yard sometimes makes me worry about them falling on our house. Because there are so many entries in New York, they hold a lottery for people who haven't qualified. If you don't get chosen to run the first two times you put your name into the lot...

Huh? Wha?

Thursday, November 8th 2007

I walk into the Y today to go lift weights and someone says, "There she is!" and everyone in the lobby starts applauding.

I just kind of stood there like, "Um, what is going on?" I can be so dense sometimes.

Anyhow, they had all seen the article and none of them knew that I'd lost so much weight. I forget that I don't carry this permanently attached sign that says "Formerly Flabulous". I just assume everyone knows I used to be charmingly chubby. ;)

The...
