View NIKKI8's food & exercise for this day

Thanks, guys. I felt quite vulnerable after I posted my last blog about the desire to purge. That felt so personal to me. Not that I haven't posted more personal, but this just felt more so. I think I felt worried I would be viewed as about to go over the edge, which is not how I feel. It was really just that moment. But your comments have been so supportive and accepting and I appreciate it as I always do.

Collin didn't have a fever last night and seemed so much better. His appetite was normal and he ate normal meals. So I let him sleep in his own bed (we sleep on the couch bed when he's sick). That was a mistake. He :barf3:ed in the middle of the night again. So I had to clean up his bed, set up the couch bed and sleep out there with him. He hasn't been sick again since and still no fever. But I'm sure hesistant to put him in his own bed tonight.

My stomach still is not back to normal. I am only eating cereal and milk in the mornings. And that's pretty much all I eat all day. I had a pear last night. But I have no appetite. And I'm so thirsty, but it seems like the more water I drink, the queasier I feel. So I tried a little sprite and a little gatorade, and they only made me feel bloated.
Any advice?

I just took a shower and put on jeans that I washed the other day. I found a $5 bill in the pocket. =D Don't you just love when that happens?!! It goes into my pedicure fund. But my pedicure fund is getting really fat since I haven't had one since July! :afraid2: Isn't that sad. My feet are in horrible shape. I just can't seem to find the time when I want to get someone to watch the kids, etc., etc. I put all my spare dollars and change into that fund and it's really growing!

Well, the little one is hollering to get up from his nap. Collin is still sleeping, but not for long I guess.

Odd about the stomach issues/thirsty thing. I hope you feel better soon. And I hope Collin feels better. Poor guy! You're in for one nice pedi!

By the way, I think it's really important that you blogged about the urges that you were having. I think making them "real" and working through how you overcame it is really important -- plus getting our feedback. It's important to staying healthy on this journey. I know it was hard. But I'm glad you did it.

I hope you are all feeling better soon! I haven't had a pedicure since September, so I know what you mean. It keeps snowing every time I make plans to go.

Toast (g-free of course) with 7-UP, and feel better. That's an order:kiss:

gingerale is what I'd recommend for that tummy ... and a MASSAGE instead of a pedicure when that fund grows big enough!

Have you tried something like chicken broth? Not sure if that will help the queasiness, but at least it's liquid and it would help keep you hydrated. My mom always gave us flat Pepsi or 7-Up when we were sick. I still cant think of 7-Up in any way other than somethign I crave when I am sick (or hungover, but that doesnt happen much anymore :laugh5: ). I dunno, at least if you can get and keep some fruit down it would help with the hydration part, that is the scariest part of the stomach bug. pears, berries, melon, anything like that .... ? Fruit smoothies?
