I joined CK a long time ago, played around with it for a bit, and went dormant until last Wednesday. I weighed myself on Wednesday to see where I stood, but Wednesday is not a good day for me to make my weekly weigh-in. So, I weighed in again this morning to get on a cycle of Saturday weigh-ins and found that I had dropped three pounds from my Wednesday weight. It was probably three pounds of water and other things shifting into position and I know from past experience that the first week is usually a good weight loss week for me. I also know a pound-a-day for three days does not establish an ongoing or sustainable trend. Nevertheless, I am encouraged. I am actually working to hit my caloric intake target and find that I am coming up short at the end of the day. It then becomes a mad dash to take in a few more calories to hit that plus or minus 150 mark.
I'll figure it out. After all, I am not in this all by myself.
BTW, 16 kids includes step kids from both my wife's and my previous marriages. I did not actually raise all 16 of them. I actually raised only 9 of them.

Nine, sixteen, still alot and takes a very patient person.
You are not alone, we are all here for each other. I had the same issue coming up short with the mad dash and found planning and logging ahead of time makes it easier. Hope it helps.

You are correct - you are not in this all by yourself. The CK community will be there along the way! 9 kids is still a big number.
