I AM FINALLY THIN IN MY YOUTH!!!!

(I've been waiting to say that since my chubby pre-teen years)....

It's interesting being in "weight loss mode" again.

I guess I officially stopped losing weight and put myself into maintenance in August last year.... I maintained my weight fairly successfully these past 6 months but I've gained back about 10 pounds in the last 3 months.

That's about 10% of my original efforts!

It took me a while to finally admit that I'd gained the weight and my original approach at losing what I'd gained did not involve getting on a scale to see exact...

I have been sick the last 7 days.... I think since I started losing weight more than a year and a half ago... this is the longest I've made myself rest. I went to the gym on Thursday morning last week and didn't do ANYTHING exercise related until last night (Wednesday) where I did a short run on the treadmill and a set of weights.

It was a doozy of a sickness invovling a couple of days of fever and chills, mind sucking sinus headaches, a constant runny nose, coughing fits, and sore throat....

Grr. Argh.

I am undeniably out of my comfort zone weight wise. I've gained 10 pounds and have been kind of avoiding the fact for the last 2 months... but I worked too hard to let it go - I'm back to the fight... and good thing is, I know how to do it!

So here I am rededicating myself to losing those last 10 pounds and I'd like to do it by the end of May... that's about a pound a week.

My Motivators:
- Being back at goal weight
- Fitting better into my clothes
- BIKINI seas...

So,

Somehow I've gained 7-10 lbs in the past month. I am actually ok with this because I think a lot of it must be muscle weight as I'm not noticing any difference in my clothes. In any case, I am taking it easy with my calorie intake and being careful with some trouble areas - namely booze.

Now that I play sports, a common activity to do after a game is have a drink. Then, I've been meeting a lot of new friends lately and a common thing to do is have a drink together. So I am goin...

So as I start working on optimizing my weight training, this is what I'm starting out with. :)

I am quite impressed with my arm muscle definition but am working hard on my abs and back muscles right now. It's hard having extra skin in my belly area, though, to see my hard work.
