View RAEANNESISSON's food & exercise for this day
i don't know why this time my plateau is hitting me worse than before. i think it is because i have had such great success and success fuels my motivation. now, with no loss in two weeks, i am less motivated at the gym. my runs are no longer continuous and i find that i stop a lot more. i just feel so defeated. don't get me wrong, i know i have come a long way... but something inside of me is so scared that this is the end of my journey.
i wish i knew why i am stalling out. lots of things play out in my mind. for one, i honestly cannot remember when i was less than 180 lb. i am sure i was at one time, and i passed it on my way up, but i don't know at what point in my youth i was under 180. 180 was always my "skinny" weight that i could never get to. now i am here and i can't seem to get under it.
i don't know if i am eating too little food... when i look at my avg net calories, it's right at 1000-1100 and i know that's not enough., but in the past when i didn't eat my calories back it was working! i have varied my workouts this past week adding more elliptical, bike, and hills to the treadmill. i even did lunges and some pilates. i am so frustrated and i just want to give up... but i won't.
maybe it's the fact that i went off my BP water pill... or that i just got off my period (but that happens every month...) grrrrr.
it's crazy how just a short period of stalling can nearly undo 8 months of successful weight loss... but i won't let that happen.

Keep fighting the good fight...don't let this plateau bring you down. The scale has such a hold on us and it is only ONE measure of success. Your body has reached a set pointAs we gained this weight one pound at a time...we also stalled and sat for awhile until the gain started again. It is the same going down the scale only now you are aware because you are watching the numbers change. Your body may sit at this weight for a couple of weeks OR a couple of months (sorry to say) BUT find other motivational tools now.
Write down the amount of time you exercise and what you are capable of doing. Then compare each week and see how much stronger and faster you are becoming. Put on a pair of your largest pants and if you don't have any...go to the store and try on th largest size you have ever worn. See with fresh eyes how far you have come
You are doing GREAT! Don't let the scale tell you that you are not.

I totally agree with ^^^^^^ the best thing you can do is shake it up a bit. Your body has gotten the idea that you're serious. So, tweak what you're doing (net calories never worked for me) -- working out more isn't doing it, so try eating more (but make it quality food) --- not less!! Your body is holding on to the weight cause it is wondering where its next meal is coming from. Seriously, just a few hundred calories a day (in protein, preferably!) I bet it will work -- most of all don't give up - you've come too far.

Always eat 1200 - 1300 calories minimum. Keep exercising, don't stop, it sounds like you are bored, add more weights and streghth training to shock your body. I'm currently doing the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred, got it at walmart for 10.00. After 8 months, its not considered a diet anymore its a lifestyle. You are getting closer to goal, you are going to start losing less in pounds and more in inches, make EVERY work out count girlfriend, plateaus are sometimes very MENTAL, you'll get to goal eventually and slower is better, imo. I can honestly say in october through november I've lost about 6 pounds total, but lost lots of inches. You need to add more strength training or take a body pump class to shock that body of yours more. Gotta hang in there! You have done great thus far, the body does need time to catch up though, you can also add more protein (clean), but that means cooking more. Sit down and reevaluate your goals, 8 months is a good amount a time to be doing this and something to be applauded. Drink more water to make up for that BP medication. Regardless of how you view your progress I'm very Proud of you!
