Today is the 2nd day this week that I have binged. Not to crazy, but about 500 over my Calorie Target (2000). Usually I have a 300-400 calorie meal at work just before I leave (5PM), so I don't eat at a later time when I get home. Typically my wife gets off work later, so we eat later.

Anyhoo, 2nd day this week I've grabbed a cheeseburger (Kryptonite) on my way home. For the last 2 months I have fought the desires and won to where they have become a non issue, but lately it's been creeping back.

As of this moment I'm about 350 over my CT. I need to and want to go do some treadmill and weights.

So that's it. Nothing too great. I think I need to do some reading. I know there must be something here about bingeing or eating when you/I have already eaten.

Any and all suggestions are welcome.

William - my sympathy about the binging. That's my big weakness, too.

Before we can offer any suggestions... can you delve into WHY you grabbed that burger? What were you thinking/feeling at the time? And how did you feel after?

Strategies you might consider will depend on your specific binging behavior.

Does that make sense? I for example, sometimes just binge out of boredom. I'm not hungry, I don't actually want what I'm eating, I'm just bored. (That's not the only reason and/or time I binge, unfortunately, just one type.) The obvious answer to boredom binging is to step away from the fridge and take up something *else* that keeps one engaged.

So... what was up with your episodes this week?

P.S. Don't beat yourself up about the +350 calories. You're in this for the long haul; one day's weakness won't wreck your week.
