So, looks like I'm plateauing again. Sick. Trying to do the Atkins thing. Very hard. Requires a lot of preparation. In the meantime I try to eat a lot more protein, reduce my carbs and throw in more butter than I normally have in the last few months. Worked brilliantly the first weekend, but somethings out of whack. Hence the title.

I'm doing pretty good. Lots of protein, more salads, not enough veggies and from time to time, sneak a tablespoon of soft serve from my kid's cup at Baskin Robbins, some chocolate my wife brought home and the strawberry cereal bar from the pantry late at night. Deal is, my calories have been reduced and on some days, it's difficult to eat 1850 calories, especially if I exercised. Like today for example.

My buddy, personal trainer, tells me it's a good thing if I don't desire to eat 1850 calories. Less calories better. But, from what I read, I need to consume those 1850 calories regardless to keep up my metabolism. I don't know which is true.

What I do know, is I'm stalling out again. Maybe I need to exercise harder for longer periods. Lately it's been (2) 20+ minutes walks at 3 MPH. Maybe that's not enough. Maybe I should think of it as not enough and just take the challenge.

However, it's getting late. And the cereal bar beckons me. Like a moth to the flame. Tonight I will be strong, no matter what. Tomorrow, I just may poop all over it.
