Happy hump day! Yesterday I met with Elle, she killed me and I loved every minute of it
because my muscles felt alive and awake! Next week is weigh-in and measurement week so that means this week is my last chance to burn some serious calories, no room for diet errors either, not if I want to see my measurements shrink
focus, focus, focus.
The scale stayed the same today which is odd, usually it fluctuates up or down by a few ounces daily. Hmmm
could be my higher than usual sodium intake, perhaps Im holding water? Doesnt really matter, I feel stronger today and Elle showed me a few new ab exercises yesterday
OMG I finally did a 35 second plank, adding 15 seconds to what I could do last week

and was able to do a full minute on each of the side planks without using the free arm to keep my balance! I felt so empowered!!!

We did more work on the BOSU (love this thing) that works every muscle to stay balanced while using weights and used it to work my hip flexors too; they are weak and contribute to my knee issues. All in all, it was great, I only burned 546 calories but it felt like a thousand, I was drenched in sweat and wiped but I felt so good. Its similar to when I was a kid after swimming in the pool all day, your lungs and body are tired but yet you feel good and a sort of tired energy. Weird I know but thats what it reminds me of.
Tonight is the chiropractor for treatment of my sciatica, it hasnt acted up in a while but in the middle of the night last night I was jolted out of a sound sleep by pain shooting into my left buttock and down through the front of my thigh, like hot lava running down volcano, it was paralyzing. Im sure this is due to the fact that I didnt stretch out before leaving the gym or when I got home...Im sure my Dr. Ted (my Chiro) will shake his finger at me and say you know you have to stretch.
The rest of the week will be rough getting to the gym, tomorrow after work I have to go to the Gynecologist whos office is 30 minutes away with no traffic but I live in tourist central, along the Jersey Shore so who knows but at least its not Friday. And if I can take a minute to clarify that the MTV show Jersey Shore gave us all a bad rap, none of those people were from the Jersey Shore, most were not even from this state, unfortunately though we do have to take responsibility for two of them. Us locals couldnt stand them or what they represented

just saying. Sorry about the shore detour, back on track. I dont see Elle again until Friday and have to try and fit in time at the gym.
I guess the best thing I can do is really just to hold onto the way Im feeling now, celebrate yesterdays loss on the scale, that today Im maintaining and do the best I can the rest of the week.

EVERY success needs to be celebrated and appreciated no matter how small or short.

Good job pushing your self with Elle, nothing feels better than pushing your limits and feeling like you conquered the world
good job.
Don't forget sore muscles retain a little more water for muscle repair...always is gone in a day or two!!
